Toronto Bound

In about half an hour, we’ll be leaving for the airport, and then a few hours after that, we’ll be making our way to the barren northern outpost that is Toronto, for a week and a half of obsessive cinematic enjoyment. Like the last time I made the trek, it’s been a bit stressful so far, fraught with rebellious computers, last minute errands, a nervous breakdown or two, and a wee bit of nastiness involving our bank.

I guess everyone needs a little Kafka-esque adventure in their lives every now and then, just to keep things interesting.

But none of that matters now. We’re all packed (well, almost) and desperately trying to remind ourselves that we’re on vacation as of right now. It’ll be good to land in Toronto, settle in at a friend’s house, shake off the jet lag, and begin hanging out with numerous folks whose identities I’ve primarily known via computer screens and long distance phonecalls. Oh, and maybe watch a couple of movies here and there.

Naturally, I’ll be posting the usual indepth coverage you’ve come to know and love, on Twitch and/or here on Opus. And who knows, I might be able to convince my wife to write a review or two.
