Tolleson on Tarkovsky

Having recently watched Tarkovsky’s The Sacrifice, Bart Tolleson’s article on the film’s messianic themes and criticism of materialism is incredibly helpful and insightful. Tarkovsky is one of those filmmakers who never ceases to intrigue and frustrate me — which only intrigues me all the more.
