Stuff is Coming

With the exception of the movie reviews I posted last week, it’s been awhile since any major updates have been made to the site. I’ve got several things that should be up later this week, including some new album reviews. However, there will probably be some delays in major updates for the time being (with the exception of blog and cool site postings), for several reasons.

First of all, other areas of my life have been clamoring for my attention a great deal, namely work and my band. The past week or so has been crazy, and it doesn’t appear to be slowing down a whole lot. As anyone running a site like Opus can probably attest to, there are days when you just don’t even want to look at your site, much less update it. It’s not that I’m not proud of Opus and love working on it. Far from it, and that brings me to my second point.

I’m currently working a new design for Opus. It’ll be a brand new design, with some new features and other nifty things. I’m in the early stages, so it might be a little while. I’m hoping to get everything ready to go sometime in December, but don’t hold your breath. I’m really anal about this kind of stuff, but I think the end result will be worth it.

Looking at last month’s stats for Opus made me realize just how awesome this site has become. It’s become far more than I ever thought possible, and I love what it’s accomplished. And I want to keep improving Opus, whether that’s with improved writing, design, or what have you. I have a lot of ideas, but not all of them are feasible at this current time. But I have no intention of stopping the ride when it’s this good, and I hope you’ll stick with Opus as well.
