Spend five minutes looking at the headlines, and it’s easy to lose hope, to just shut down and wait for the dumpster fire that is society to consume itself. And then along comes something — a beacon of hope, if you will — that reminds you that the world isn’t totally bereft of beauty, truth, and goodness.
This is one such moment: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2 will arrive in theaters on April 8, 2022. If you haven’t seen Into the Spider-Verse yet, then you’re missing out on a true delight. As I wrote in my review, “it’s easily one of the most exhilarating and entertaining superhero movies I’ve ever seen.” But even if you’re not a fan of superhero movies, its animation and artwork alone make for a unique and thrilling cinematic experience.
