Last year, Ride — one of the shoegaze greats alongside My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive — announced that they’d be getting back together and playing concerts in May and June of this year. And now Stereogum reports that two of Ride’s members — vocalists/guitarists Mark Gardener and Andy Bell — played a stripped down acoustic show in London earlier this week. The concert, which featured fourteen songs spanning the group’s catalog, was Ride’s first concert in two decades.
YouTube user Andunemir uploaded clips of the entire performance, and I’ve embedded a few of my favorites below.
Consequence of Sound has more info on Ride’s tour plans, as well as their plans to reissue their OX4 retrospective box set.
