Musical Musings

As some of you might know, I used to be in a band. For various reasons, that band stopped existing several months ago, and in the meantime, I basically stopped playing the bass. It feels odd to be playing music again, and even odder to have fun while doing it. Tonight, my roommates and I made a lot of noise in the basement, and some of it was pretty darn good (if I do say so myself). And other opportunities are looming on the horizon that I’m excited about. When it rains it pours, I guess.

However, you’d think that all the typing I do would’ve preserved my callouses.

In lieu of actually writing reviews, which will hopefully come in the near future, I’m just going to tell you a few bands that you check out as soon as possible; Pia Fraus, Blanket Music, Do Make Say Think, lovesliescrushing, and Charity Empressa. You can’t go wrong with them, and you will thank me later.
