Kare Kano

Hopefully, I’ll get around to writing a review of this, but for now this will have to do… I just finished watching several episodes of His and Her Circumstances and I’m completely won over. Part teenage romance, part coming of age, and part melodrama, it seems incredibly silly at first. But once you start watching it, different layers begin revealing themselves.

I found myself laughing hysterically, and then 10 seconds later, genuinely touched by the characters’ dilemmas, only to start chuckling again at some new outrageous scenario. Volume 2 comes out soon, and I can’t wait to get it.
