CaPC Update: An Introduction to HBO’s Game of Thrones

My latest article for Christ and Pop Culture takes a look at HBO’s upcoming Game of Thrones series and offers a brief introduction to George R.R. Martin’s story, compares and contrasts it with J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, and discusses its use of sex and violence.

On a related note, I find it more than a little ironic that I’m spending so much time hyping a series that I have no way of watching (we don’t have cable television, much less HBO).
