Avalon

HKFlix is now selling Avalon, the latest from Mamoru “Ghost In The Shell” Oshii, on DVD. I haven’t seen the film yet, but I’ve been looking forward to this release for some time now. Like The Matrix, it deals with virtual realities and whatnot, but with Oshii at the helm, you can bet it’s much more profound (not to mention confusing) than that. The trailers looked ultra-cool, and what I’ve read about this movie has done nothing to decrease my desire to see it.

Unfortunately, sinking money into one’s car doesn’t leave all that much for buying DVDs… I’ll have to wait for my next paycheck before I can wrap my grubby mitts around this one.

On a completely unrelated note, my parents are travelling to Pennsylvania this week… keep them in your prayers if you would.
