A gorgeous trailer for Terrence Malick’s The Tree of Life

I’ve read some folks who have gone so far as to say that they’d like to include the trailer for Terrence Malick’s The Tree of Life on their list of best movies of 2010. I won’t indulge in such hyperbole, but there’s absolutely no denying that the trailer is full of gorgeous, stirring, and awe-inspiring imagery. It may get a little portentous in places thanks to the voiceovers, but they only add to the trailer’s haunting effect for me. And besides, if there’s anyone in whom I have faith to do it right, it’s Malick.
