To be perfectly honest, I just think Munk has found himself in a bit of rut.

Azure Vista isn’t a bad album, but it does feel lacking simply because it sounds so familiar.

At times, the album gets a little too relaxed, and Munk and Skott seem to rely a bit too much on the inherent loveliness of their sound palette to keep things interesting.

From the very first delicate wisps of sound to the last atmospheric that fades over the horizon, The North Shore rarely disappoints.

There’s a sense of wonder here, as if these songs were composed by starry-eyed children inspired by their first planetarium visit.
