I don’t mind missing out on an adaptation that has a fundamentally flawed and/or carelessly casual approach to its source material.

Darren Aronofsky’s Biblical adaptation serves as a bracing restorative for a story that has lost much of its bite over the centuries.

This has the makings of something more than just your typical, run-of-the-mill mecha series.
