Plug Me In - Ladybug

The women who calls herself LadyBug plays a feisty, funky style of folk music.

On the simple but lovely opener, “Silence Is Sincere” she recalls the first lady of folk punk, Ani DiFranco. She has the same poetic leanings and fierce independent spirit.

“Breakin’ an Entry” is groovy and angry all at once. “Lastime” is a sad breakup song. The instrumentation suits the song well. Towards the end, the song grows bombastic in progressive rock fashion.

In all Plug Me In is a good EP and a nice introduction to LadyBug.
