My First Time - Look What I Did

I didn’t know what to expect when I received the album My First Time by Look What I Did (Clockrock Recordings). I get many albums and as I always say, a lot of them are shite. I listen to these all the time, expecting the worse. Thankfully I was slapped in the face with some extreme rock with this band.

Look What I Did is a mix of so many different genres that I can’t pinpoint one sound to them specifically. And they wouldn’t have it any other way. In some ways they remind me of a much more extreme Glassjaw and then at other times, I can sense a little Motorhead mixed with a bit of Anal Cunt. We have some jazz elements with a nice dose of funk as well. Is there anything this band can’t do?

This is all for the best in my opinion, and just hearing a band who can kick ass with the best of them gives me hope for the state of rock today. Rock has been getting lame as of late, toning down big time but with bands like Look What I Did out there, keep the kids locked inside because they’re ready to kick everyone’s faces in.

Suggested tracks are “Shadowboxing (To Stay Fit),” “I Beat God At Tae Kwon Do,” and “House Of Cards.” Hell, the whole album is suggested. Go find a copy now! I give it a face pounding 9.0 out of 10. You must own this.
