Yippee-Ki-Yay… You Know the Rest

This looks so bad it’s good, and so good that it hurts — the new trailer for Live Free or Die Hard.

Sure, it boasts one of the worst titles in recent memory, smacks of little more than mindless cashing in on the name of the one of the finest action movies of all time, and looks to be loaded chock full of unbelievable carnage and mayhem.

Practically every second of the trailer contains some eyeroll-worthy moment, be it the creative method for dispatching a helicopter, the improbable auto acrobatics, or that bit with the F-22 Raptor. The whole thing looks absolutely preposterous. And by “preposterous,” I mean awesome.

Between John McClane’s latest adventure and the upcoming Transformers movie, I think I’ve got my “mindless mayhem” fix for the next few months.
