The Week in Rock

In my review of the My Morning Jacket show a few weeks back, I lamented the fact that I just don’t seem to go to as many concerts as I once did. After this week, I’ll probably have to take those comments back. In the 5 days, I’ll be hitting 3, possibly 4 shows. Tonight, it’s Califone (who blew me away when I saw them open for The Sea And Cake earlier this year) and Clem Snide. Tomorrow, I’m planning to see Broken Spindles and Radio Berlin in Omaha. Then it’s down to Lawrence on Saturday for Broadcast and Iron & Wine. And then Over The Rhine in Kansas City on Monday.

But it doesn’t stop after that. Damien Jurado and Rosie Thomas will be in gracing Omaha with their presence on November 5th. Then, it’s down to Lawrence with the Marianas boys on the 7th to see them open for Timonium. thesistermaria will be playing in Lincoln on the 17th. And finally, The Rapture will be rocking Omaha on the 21st.

Sheesh… I feel like I’m going on my own little rock n’ roll tour. Needless to say, you can expect tons of new photos and concert reviews to be hitting the site shortly.
