The Place Promised In Our Early Days, Part 2

Much love to Logboy over at Twitch for pointing this out and making me a very happy boy today… ADV Films has announced that they will be releasing Makoto Shinkai’s The Place Promised In Our Early Days on DVD this summer. I suppose this was something of a foregone conclusion since they’re releasing it into theatres this month, but it’s always nice to have confirmation.

On a sidenote, The Place Promised In Our Early Days won the grand prize at the 59th annual Mainichi Film Concours, which puts him in pretty lofty company, namely Hayao Miyazaki, who has won the award for Kiki’s Delivery Service and Spirited Away.
