Thank you, Facebook: Behold the new Scott Pilgrim trailer

On May 27, Edgar Wright announced that he would release a new trailer for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World if its Facebook page would get 100,000 fans. Earlier today, the page passed that amount and Wright was true to his word: click here to watch the new trailer.

Honestly, I’m a little underwhelmed by Michael Cera here. There are times when he seems perfect as the clueless-yet-lovable protagonist, but there are other times where I have my doubts. And some of the dialog doesn’t appear to have made the transition from page to screen very well. However, whenever I see Pilgrim take hold of that extra life, or Todd Ingram employ his vegan powers, or Knives Chau’s duel with Ramona Flowers, I can’t help but smile from ear to ear.
