Slow and Steady

Well, the new design is nearing completion. Right now, I’m moving all of the content over, which isn’t too bad since the bulk of it (the album and movie reviews) are all stored in a database. Thank God for templates. But still, there’s enough of it to be a pain in the butt. The new design will probably never make the cut at, say, Surfstation or Pixelsurgeon. But I think it’ll serve my purposes well. There’s still plenty to do, and I still have to find time to write new reviews.

My workplace had their annual Christmas party Friday night. Much fun all around over drinks and horse doovers. When you spend all day trying to get MySQL calls and PHP scripts to bend to your will, you sometimes forget how great your co-workers are. There’s just something about yelling SNL quotes at the top your lungs in a smoky bar that really gets the camaraderie flowing.
