Rocksteady

The past couple of days, whenever I’ve found myself in need of some uplifting after a long day of dealing with client requests or banging my head against some design that just won’t come together, The Suburbs Are Killing Us have provided plenty of relief in the form of MP3s.

Sure, they’ve provided some gems in the form of DJ Premier’s remix of Lord Finesse’s “Check the Method,” some teary-eyed mope rock from The Field Mice, and Jaga Jazzist side-project The National Bank. However, the real prize has been the handful of MP3s from famed rocksteady vocalist Alton Ellis. “Rocksteady” is, without a doubt, one of the best songs I’ve heard in weeks.

Note: The MP3s are supposedly removed after a week, but some of the older ones might still be available. Sorry if I got your hopes up.
