Radiohead’s The King of Limbs to be released this week

You thought Arcade Fire winning album of the year at this year’s Grammys was going to be the biggest music-related surprise of the week. And then Radiohead went and announced that their eighth album, The King of Limbs, will be released later this week, on February 19, to be exact.

The album will be released in two versions. The first is as a “Newspaper” album, which includes, among another things: the album on two clear 10″ vinyl records; “many large sheets of artwork, 625 tiny pieces of artwork and a full-colour piece of oxo-degradeable plastic to hold it all together,” and a digital download of the album. The second is a “Digital only” version in either MP3 or WAV format.

The album can be preordered here for as low as $9 (US), which will get you the MP3 release. More info at Pitchfork.
