2005 is just around the corner, and so now is a good time to start putting together a list of upcoming CD releases. Right near the top of my list is the upcoming sophomore album from Out Hud (whose 2002 release, S.T.R.E.E.T.D.A.D, was one of the best things Kranky has put out in years). Kranky has posted some MP3 clips from the second album’s teaser EP, entitled One Life To Leave. The new songs have a sleeker, more electro vibe to them as opposed to S.T.R.E.E.T.D.A.D’s gritty, lo-fi Gang of Four-esque sound. But the most noticeable difference is the inclusion of vocals, courtesy of Phyllis Forbes and Molly Schnick.
