Mr. Clarke: Stranger Things’ Unsung Hero

I’ve been rewatching the first season of Stranger Things with my oldest, and among other things, I’ve been reminded of just how much I enjoy the character of Mr. Clarke, the boys’ science teacher. When he patiently answers their questions about alternate dimensions or encourages their enthusiasm for HAM radios, I’m reminded of my high school physics teacher, Mr. Dappen, who patiently indulged us precocious nerds time and again with our queries and exploits.
