The new album from Sufjan Stevens, titled Michigan, goes on sale today, and you should definitely get yourself a copy. It’s one of the best albums I’ve heard so far this year, and I highly recommend it to everybody. Unless, of course, you’re the type who hates music that’s deep and meaningful. While you’re on an Asthmatic Kitty kick, be sure to check out the new Viva Voce album, Lovers, Lead the Way!, too.

Today also happens to be Sufjan Stevens’ birthday, so best wishes to him. Here’s hoping he’ll have many more years full of beautiful music (and that he’ll record and release it all).
