It’s taking me longer than I’d hoped to get the Cornerstone 2001 interviews up on the site. In the meantime, head on over to Fine Print and check out their Cornerstone 2001 overviews. As usual, they’re brutally honest.. so prepare yourselves.

As it always does, life has thrown a few wrenches into my plans. Lately, I’ve found it very difficult to live the “victorious” Christian lifestyle. It’s hard to do so when you know you don’t deserve it. For some people, that’s a great comfort… but I find it more disconcerting than anything else. Combine that with the usual round of anxieties and I end up spending more time brooding and vying for people’s attention/affections than anything else. Maybe one of these days I’ll figure out how to shut off my brain for awhile… perhaps I should get cable. Anyways, I’ve had precious little energy to devote to Opus lately, but updates are coming.

On a more upbeat note… I paid off my car. That’s right, the Mint Bomber is mine. That’s another $170 dollars The Man won’t be getting from me each month. Now, if I could just get those damned student loans paid off.

And I do get excited when I think about some of the new albums coming out this year. Ester Drang, Lift To Experience, Mogwai, and SS Bountyhunter have already released great albums, but 2001 ain’t done with us yet. Aphex Twin, Bjork, The Faint, A Silver Mt. Zion, Spiritualized, and Stereolab are all releasing albums before year’s end. It gives me hope after wading through some of the CD’s I’ve been sent…
