Looking Back, Looking Forward

Renae and I finally got around to writing our first holiday letter, but being the slackers (and nerds) that we are, we never got around to actually mailing it out. Instead, Renae has posted it over on The Grand — click here to read if you want to catch up with the Moreheads.

All in all, 2007 was a tremendous year. There was great sadness and loss (e.g., the death of my grandfather, the loss of our church). But there was also great joy and success, including:

  • Our Cornerstone excursion (and my speaking engagement)
  • The 2007 L’Abri conference
  • The launch of our very own company (more on that soon)
  • And of course, our pregnancy

And 2008 is shaping up to be a pretty packed year, as well:

  • In March, we’ll be welcoming our firstborn son into the world
  • We’ll be participating in a church plant with the eventual goal of rebuilding on the original Zion site
  • My job, both at Firespring and Red Bicycle, promises to be very exciting and action-packed
  • And I’ve got some plans for Opus as well, which I’ll be revealing in the coming weeks

Suffice to say, these are exciting times here in the Morehead household, and I’m profoundly grateful that I don’t have to experience them alone.
