Get ready to journey to the Promised Land… Texas, that is. Earlier this year, the Texas-based psych-rock trio Lift to Experience announced that their one and only album — 2001’s epic The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads — would be remastered, remixed, and reissued on Mute Records. We now have an official release date: February 3, 2017.
The reissue is currently available for preorder, and will come in three versions: double CD, double LP, and a deluxe vinyl box set. The box set will include the remastered Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads, the original Lift to Experience EP (originally released in 1997), a previously unreleased Peel session from 2001, and a downloadable copy of the original Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads.
And the pièce de résistance? The reissue will feature new artwork that’s… well… something else. (It’s an homage to Pen & Pixel, a design studio that rose to fame for their blinged out Southern gangsta rap artwork in the ‘90s.)
