Late Tuesday

Ho boy… those merry pranksters at Pitchfork sure pulled one over on us. They’re still as indie as ever, and sporting a sleek, new design to boot.

There’s a new search engine on the market… Teoma. Following the same lines as Google (my personal fave), it’s sleek and streamlined, and offers a few cool features. Dig the “Resources” listings. Not sure how this happened, but do a search for “album reviews” and see what comes up.

It’s been a long time since I’ve read something that connected with me as much as this has… Reaching For the Invisible God by Philip Yancey (click here for an excerpt). It’s both challenging and uplifting to read an author who confronts the presence of doubt in faith, without resorting to some “12-step” brand of spirituality. You can also find more of Yancey’s writings over here.

I’m off to go see The Golden Age and The Movies over at Duffy’s. Hopefully, I’ll get some new photos up from some recent shows.
