What a senseless loss and tragedy: At least 33 people have been killed and many more injured by an arson attack on the Kyoto Animation studio. A 41-year-old man has been arrested as the suspected arsonist. Kyoto Animation helped produce many acclaimed anime titles, including Akira, Beyond the Boundary, Cowboy Bebop, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, A Silent Voice, and Violet Evergarden, as well as several Studio Ghibli titles. Here’s a list of everything that Kyoto Animation was involved in, just to give you an idea of their importance and artistry.

Update #1: Kyoto Animation’s president, Hideaki Hatta, has confirmed that all of the materials and computers used on previous Kyoto Animation titles were destroyed in the fire. Considering everything that Kyoto Animation worked on over the years, the loss in incalculable. A GoFundMe campaign has been created to help support those affected by the fire, and has already raised nearly $1.5 million.
