Kill Bill

Kill Bill opens in theaters next week, but in the meantime, I’ll just have to satisfy myself with these stills and photos from the movie.

The look of this film is incredible — stylized to the point of almost becoming surreal. Tarantino really revels in his love of Asian cinema, so if you’re not up on your samurai movies or your classic Shaw Brothers chopsocky flicks, you might not get some of the stuff that’s bound to take place in the movie (such as the hyper-stylized violence, which from all accounts, is completely over-the-top — we’re talking severed limbs, decapitations, gushing arterial fountains, etc.).

Needless to say, I can’t wait… if only to see the ball n’ chain wieldin’ schoolgirl (Chiaki Kuriyama, from Battle Royale and Ju-On) in action. *Swoon*
