Justin Bieber and Violens, together at last… sort of

From Pitchfork:

[Chairlift’s Caroline Polachek and Violens’ Jorge Elbrecht] took inspiration from the video for pint-size heartthrob Justin Bieber’s “Never Let You Go” and recorded a new song for the clip — but that’s not all. They also wrote lyrics that, although different from Bieber’s puppy-love lyricism, match up phonetically with Bieber’s lip movement during the video. In other words: it looks like Justin Bieber is singing Polachek and Elbrecht’s Italo-disco jam, making for a video that’s equal parts awesome-sounding and surreal.

And yes, it is indeed both awesome-sounding and surreal. Watch for yourself.
