The second season of Netflix’s acclaimed Stranger Things arrives later this month, but the streaming service has lined up another series that looks like it taps into some similar concepts. The German series Dark will start streaming on December 1, and like Stranger Things, is centered around the search for missing children — a search that, as Netflix puts it, “opens abysses that turn the concept of time on its head.”
Given that description, and the prevalence of clock imagery in the trailer, it’s a safe bet that time travel of some sort will play a role in Dark. In any case, the short trailer looks plenty atmospheric and creepy (and in addition to Stranger Things, gives me a bit of an OA vibe, too). Consider me intrigued.
