Filmwell’s Favorite Scenes of 2009 - Part One

The Filmwell staff has just posted the first installment of our favorite film scenes from 2009.

…we thought we’d take this opportunity to share something a little different, a little more personal. We challenged ourselves to share a few scenes that have stayed with us, that have impressed us either for their formal distinctions or for — if I may quote Ebert again — their “elevating” qualities. Or maybe they just provoked a hearty laugh.

2009 was a rather lackluster year for me, as far as moviegoing went: I think I only saw 5 or 6 movies in the theatre last year. As such, my contribution to this article was rather paltry. However, I’m hoping to make 2010 a much better year with regards to moviegoing.
