With a huge discography containing releases from the likes of Hong Kong Express, t e l e p a t h, 2814, DARKPYRAMID, and memory gateways, London’s Dream Catalogue has arguably become the vaporwave label of note. DREAMBOX_1 will be their first boxset release to date, containing ten albums that have received the most requests for a cassette release. Yes, you read that right… cassette.
10 exclusive and never released before cassettes. All professionally recorded in real time on high quality Nakamichi tape decks. All come in clear case with full colour cassette labels and double-sided full colour printed J-cards. Different colour cassette shell for each cassette.
Comes in custom made black box with specially designed foam insert to house all 10 cassettes. Lid of box has foil printed DREAM logo and DREAMBOX_1. Also includes DREAM logo sticker inside box.
Here’s a complete list of the releases that will make up DREAMBOX_1:

DREAMBOX_1 preorders will be taken through September 23; after that, the exact number of collections will be created, ensuring this will be “a one-time limited edition item that will not be repressed again.”
It may seem nonsensical to release something so exclusive on an inferior format like cassette, but it’s all part and parcel with Dream Catalogue’s retro/nostalgic aesthetic. (And didn’t you know that cassettes are coming back?) But just in case your Walkman craps out, each preorder will also come with a link to download a ZIP archive of the ten albums as MP3s.
