CaPC Update: “Spring Spheres and Christian Persecution”

My latest article for Christ and Pop Culture, “Spring Spheres and Christian Persecution,” takes a look at the recent “Spheregate” incident, in which a teenager claimed that a Seattle high school told her to rename Easter eggs as “spring spheres.” Is this event — if it happened — really a form of persecution? And if we think that it is, what does this say to Christians who are suffering loss of life and limb elsewhere in the world?
