Brendan Perry & Robin Guthrie to Tour North America in May & June
he former frontmen of Dead Can Dance and the Cocteau Twins also have new albums coming soon.
For some people, the upcoming co-headlining tour of Brendan Perry and Robin Guthrie will likely be the stuff dreams are made of. Perry and Guthrie — formerly of Dead Can Dance and the Cocteau Twins, respectively — are two of the most influential names in dreampop, art-rock, and goth circles, and this will be the first time the two of them have toured together. Here are the tour dates:
- May 30: Washington, DC Sixth & I Historic Synagogue (Seated)
- May 31: New York, NY — Fillmore at Irving Plaza
- June 1: Boston, MA — Paradise Rock Club
- June 3: Montreal, QC — Le National
- June 4: Toronto, ON — Opera House
- June 5: Chicago, IL — Metro
- June 8: Seattle, WA — Neumos
- June 9: Vancouver, BC — Venue
- June 10: Portland, OR — Doug Fir Lounge
- June 12: San Francisco, CA — Bimbo’s 365
- June 13: Los Angeles, CA — El Rey
- June 14: Solana Beach, CA — Belly Up
In addition, both men have new albums coming out soon in the States. Perry will be releasing Ark (The End Records) on May 24, and Guthrie will be releasing Emeralds (Darla Records) on May 15.
