Bill Killed

A movie like Kill Bill, with its over-the-top violence and bloodshed, is guaranteed to provoke some pretty passionate and pointed comments from critics. But none have generated quite the controversy as Gregg Easterbrook’s.

In his review, which does raise some interesting points about the film, Easterbrook ends it with some comments concerning the ethnicity of the execs behind Kill Bill (the two he mentions, Michael Eisner and Harvey Weinstein, are both Jews). While one can see the point he’s getting at, the wording he uses is rather questionable.

Which is something Easterbrook himself realized, as you can see in this apology that he posted to his blog last night.
