Battle Royale 2 Trailer

A new trailer for Battle Royale 2 just hit the web, and wow… it’s definitely not for the faint of heart. It looks like they’re pulling out all of the stops, which could be a good or bad thing.

The first Battle Royale was simply incredible, a gutwrenching Lord of the Flies scenario that managed to balance incredible violence with developed characters and powerful dramatics — read my review. Hopefully, the sequel maintains that balance even with the massive destruction shown in the trailer (think the end of Fight Club). Either way, I can’t wait to find out. It comes out in Japan on July 5, and hopefully, a DVD release won’t be too far behind.
