Back in black
Well, we’re back from Cornerstone 2002.
In some ways, it was a big disappointment, and in others, a very rewarding time (and the dichotomy was even moreso this year). Things happened that made me question why I even bothered going, and others that reminded me why I go every year. Why I put myself through stifling heat, crappy punk bands, showers that reek of sulfur, crappy hardcore bands, ill-mannered youth group kids, etc.
I guess you could say this was a big reflection time for me, a time that made me seriously think about not just our covering Cornerstone, but why I do this entire site in the first place.
And as soon as I get some sleep, I’ll gladly elaborate.
