I wrote about Det Vackra Livet — a side-project by The Mary Onettes’ Philip and Henrik Ekström — back in February. The duo have been working on an album for quite some time now, and are back with a new single titled “Askan”. Much like their previous track, “Askan” is full of sweeping, synth-driven ’80s pop goodness. And while I have no idea as to what the Swedish lyrics are about, I imagine they’re something about long walks on grey days, unrequited love, and other topics befitting some lovely, moody music.
