A Very Star Wars Christmas

I think it’s a fairly well-accepted fact the Star Wars prequels, for all of their eye candy and dual lightsaber-wielding Sith, have turned out to be fairly vacuous and disappointing. But it could be worse, much worse. We could be subjected to The Star Wars Holiday Special. Originally a television special that aired in 1978, it’s long since been disavowed by George Lucas, who refuses to acknowledge its existence. Fortunately for the curious (and masochistic), copies are floating around on the Internet, ensuring that future generations will be able to appreciate it in all of its terrible splendor — “terrible” being the operative word.
