A Little Announcement

We took Simon to the zoo this past weekend. Feeding the goats was a big hit, which should make his Morehead grandparents very proud (we used to raise goats when I was a kid, NPI).

But I post this photo for two reasons. The first is, obviously, that my son is really, truly, incredibly stinking cute (said without a trace of bias), and I enjoy showing him off. The second is that I look forward to Simon teaching his younger brother or sister — who is currently enjoying the comforts of Renae’s womb — how to feed goats, which should make for a pretty cute photo op in and of itself.

If you were reading Opus about a year and a half ago, then you know all about the trials we went through with Simon’s birth (if not, this will bring you up to speed). Obviously, we’re hoping to avoid that mess this time around. The chances that Renae won’t have PIH this time are better, but not an awful lot better, so we hope and pray — and look forward to more trips to the zoo.
