I was hoping that Crepusclum’s debut full-length, Sing On In Silhouettes, would’ve been released by now (it was announced back in May 2008). But until then, you can listen to a relatively new (I think) track titled “A Fledgling Firework” on his MySpace page. It’s a beautiful song, full of shimmering, Lanois-esque guitar melodies and sparse piano arrangements that continually unfurl, revealing new shades and layers with each passing second. It’s the perfect thing to listen to after a surprise snowstorm like the one that hit Lincoln last night, bringing to mind bluer, sunnier skies.
