A fantastic new teaser for HBO’s Game of Thrones

Is it just me, or is the PR machine for HBO’s upcoming adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones beginning to ramp up? If so, I don’t mind one bit so long as the new imagery and footage continues to be as impressive as this latest teaser.

The teaser begins with one of my favorite scenes from the book, the opening execution scene in which we see Eddard Stark’s notions of honor, as well as a surprisingly tender interaction between father and son. After that, it’s a flurry of images and characters, including some of our first looks at folks like Catelyn Stark, Daenerys, and Jaime Lannister in motion. And of course, the production values continue to look fantastic.
