I’m not one to miss out on a good, solid mecha show, and Idolo does offer plenty of mecha action.
To be honest, I don’t think I want to meet a person who could watch this film and not be moved by the plight of Seita and Setsuko.

You certainly can’t fault RahXephon’s creators for not being ambitious, because everything about RahXephon sets high goals for itself.
More than anything else, Evangelion’s focus is on the hopes and dreams of its characters, as well as their fears and weaknesses, and their attempts to overcome them.
To say I completely fell in love with this series is a bit premature, since I’ve only seen the first 6 episodes. But I’ve definitely got a crush.
