It’s obvious that this film is a personal project for Jet Li, one he cares deeply for.

The first Jet Li film I ever watched, and I think it may very well have spoiled all of his other films for me.

Zhang Yimou’s entry into the wuxia genre is majestic, stirring, and beautiful. Oh, and it features some kick-ass action sequences, too.

After stuff like ‘The One’ and ‘Kiss of the Dragon,’ it was nice to see something as outrageous as ‘The Tai Chi Master.’
