“Hush Records” Archives

Though a bit uneven in places, Carlos Forster’s self-titled debut still evokes the magic of those old For Stars albums, and his voice sounds as good as ever.

Perhaps better than any other Hush release, it illustrates the label’s “anti-rock” stance.

An understated little gem that deserves far more notice than it’s ever likely to receive.
