A Year to Forget have an energy to them and you can tell that their live shows are probably insane from this release.

Warriors & Warlocks is far more fun than it has any right to be.

The album’s goofiness undercuts the band’s attempts to explore deeper, more relevant themes.

A real gem that hasn’t lost it’s energy after almost a decade, and whose impact will probably never fully be known.

This album has a bit of a novelty factor to it, but it’s still really fun, and that’s all that matters.

Look What I Did is a mix of so many different genres that I can’t pinpoint one sound to them specifically.

Am I the only one who loves split albums and wish more bands would do them?

Cranked Up! should only be going higher and higher in the punk hierarchy.

Modern Machines blew me away with their raw and catchy tunes, showcasing their talent for proper songwriting.

You can see the two influences throughout this album, be it the insane guitars or almost-robotic-because-it’s-so-fast drums.

I give it 9 punk power chords, for blistering aggression that makes this an album that is a keeper.

The Vibration take what worked in The Cranberries and Sleater-Kinney and throw in a little Björk as well.

Overall, I’d have to say that Mercury Radio Theatre’s music lends itself much better to a live setting.

You can’t accuse Guitar Wolf of being unenthusiastic, of plying their punk rock trade half-heartedly.

Sad to see a Swedish band so completely copy every facet of American punk rock as to be utterly indistinguishable.

It’s a little punk (but not too much), with some safe mall emo, a cheeky ’80s glam-rock solo or two that Weezer rejected, and plenty of studio sheen.

Clever arrangements and whip smart lyrics that project a subtle feeling of optimism make for a very enjoyable listen.

Punk rock would still be interesting if it sounded more like these guys.

Every song is short and to the point, which is good I guess, but every song says the same thing in the exact same way.

Fake Brain’s Department of Our Ways is nothing less than refreshing.
