Lift to Experience’s Remastered Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads is Coming in February

And yes, that’s really the new artwork. Those Texas boys are something else.
The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads 2017
The new artwork’s so bad, it’s good.

Get ready to journey to the Promised Land… Texas, that is. Earlier this year, the Texas-based psych-rock trio Lift to Experience announced that their one and only album — 2001’s epic The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads — would be remastered, remixed, and reissued on Mute Records. We now have an official release date: February 3, 2017.

The reissue is currently available for preorder, and will come in three versions: double CD, double LP, and a deluxe vinyl box set. The box set will include the remastered Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads, the original Lift to Experience EP (originally released in 1997), a previously unreleased Peel session from 2001, and a downloadable copy of the original Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads.

And the pièce de résistance? The reissue will feature new artwork that’s… well… something else. (It’s an homage to Pen & Pixel, a design studio that rose to fame for their blinged out Southern gangsta rap artwork in the ’90s.)

Listen to the new mix of “Just As Was Told,” the album’s opening track.

Back in June, Lift to Experience reformed to play at the Meltdown Festival, to great acclaim.
