Depeche Mode’s “Everything Counts” in the Key of Lego

It’s amazing what you can do with some garbage, a laptop, an arduino or two, some contact microphones… and some Legos.

Used to be, if you wanted to start a band, you’d have to get some of your friends together, scrape enough money to buy some instruments at the local pawn shop, and then you could make an unholy racket in your basement or garage. However, as Giuseppe Acito shows, these days all you need is some garbage, a laptop, an arduino or two, some contact microphones… and some Legos.

Put them all together, and you’ve got a ’80s revival involving one of Depeche Mode’s greatest songs right there on your tabletop. Via
